Unlock more performance from your KTM 85 SX with the HGW Performance billet head and combustion-chamber system, developed specifically around the unique requirements of the KTM 85 engine.

At the core of our performance package is our in-house developed 12° piston, engineered specifically to work with our matching 12° head insert. The piston crown and combustion chamber are designed as a complete system, allowing the squish and chamber geometry to work together for controlled combustion and optimised power delivery.

The billet head features a replaceable insert system, giving engine builders the ability to change chamber volume and compression ratio to tailor the engine’s characteristics to different fuels, tracks, riding styles and engine specifications.

For engines retaining an OEM-design piston, we also offer a dedicated 10° head insert, providing the flexibility to use the HGW billet head system without requiring our specialised 12° piston.

This gives the KTM 85 platform two distinct options: our fully developed 12° piston and matching 12° insert combination for a purpose-built performance package, or the 10° insert designed around the OEM piston configuration.

Developed through hands-on KTM 85 engine development and dyno testing, the HGW system provides precise control over the combustion package while giving engine builders the flexibility to tailor the engine to their requirements.
